Join me on Tuesday for the Second Annual Bill's Birthday Movie Marathon. Last year I spent a whole day at the movies - five of them, to be precise. My butt hurt a little, but it was for a good cause. You know, movie watching. This year I'm doing it again - a few weeks late, but it's the thought that counts. Want to come along? Just show up - I'll be the guy in the Norm hat with a backpack full of movie candy.

This year's itinerary couldn't quite support five movies - the challenge is getting enough good movies together within walking distance. The Downtown Seattle set slightly edged out the U District set. My original itinerary was heavy with movies I felt I ought to see, like House of Sand and Fog and Monster. But then I realized that it's my birthday (sort of) and I'm not going to let quality movie guilt pressure me into feeling depressed. So I stuck with the ones I actually wanted to see.

It’s important to warm up, so the day begins light with Win a Date With Tad Hamilton at the Meridian at 11:30am. Then we move into romance and sword fights with The Last Samurai also at the Meridian at 2:50pm. A short break for dinner and some caffeine and then it’s back to the Meridian for Big Fish at 6:10pm - 8:25pm. The day ends with a quick sprint down the street to Pacific Place for Master and Commander at 8:30pm.

Planning on attending (yes, you can just join me for one or two)? Drop me a line. See you at the movies!
