I've confirmed my second speaking engagement for this year. So far I'm speaking at a meeting of the Lehigh Valley chapter of the Pennsylvania Library Association in May and at the NorthEast Florida Library Information Network in September. I really underestimated the complexity of actually getting signed up for a talk after someone first expresses an interest. Approval often has to wind its way through various committees and/or boards. It can be many months from the time I make that pencil mark in my calendar until I find out whether or not I'm going. Moral: if you want to hear Gene and/or I speak at your meeting or conference, start the dialog very early!
