I finally heard back from ALA, and they do indeed want us to continue providing strips for their newspaper CogNotes for the next couple of conferences. So we'll be in Boston in January for ALA Midwinter and in Chicago for ALA Summer. It's always a leap of faith to sign up for a conference because we're paying money now that we (a) may not get back and if we do (b) not for a while. Just like any investment, I guess. But as travel-weary as I am, which is a fair amount, I still get excited about shows. Because that's where I get to meet the fans, sign hundreds of books, and of course sell stuff. Three things near and dear to my heart. Now the big question is: will Gene join me? Stay tuned.
