My new technological obsession is Ruby on Rails, the agile development language & framework. I am seriously considering porting our site over so that I can more quickly and easily make the changes that right now seem fearsomely compex. And there is a burgeoning number of open source projects that I may be able to plug in to achieve some of the functionality I'm after.

On the other hand, one of my best friends is a big fan of Content Management Systems. She's going to give me a demo of Mambo shortly. That might make things easier. But I'm not sure I'm willing to give up hacking our site yet. It's the only programming I do any more.
