I'm pleased to see our site handling the onslaught of traffic we're getting from Penny Arcade. Eighteen months ago we got a similar amount of traffic from FlyLady's mailing list when we mentioned her book in a strip. We were on a different host and the site just buckled, even after I made some asp.net optimizations. When they were unable to commit to solving our problem we moved to CrystalTech. The bandwidth requirements of our normal days have become much bigger, with our increasing audience size and now our large colorful Sunday strips that are about five times bigger than a daily. But there's been nary a blip. And today, with tens of thousands more visits than we usually get (with many plowing through our archives), it doesn't even seem slow. Kudos to CrystalTech, who deserve the unsolicited plug I am giving them now. Tell 'em I sent you.
