Libraryman

Apparently my friend Gene Ambaum, Unshelved's co-writer and male librarian extraordinaire, was the inspiration for today's Penny Arcade (the story is in their blog). So I guess it's now Gene Ambaum, libraryman.

P.S. I feel compelled to point out to the tens of thousands of people visiting our site for the first time today that:

  • This is a comic strip about a library. Our Hollywood pitch: "Cheers with books".
  • Every Sunday our comic strip becomes the Unshelved Book Club, featuring comic strip book reviews of real books.
  • The strip isn't usually in pencil - I did these at ComicCon and we're posting them in their original glory.
  • If you like what you see you can subscribe to free email delivery or get our RSS feed.
