Want new comics about libraries? Read Library Comic!

Toon Books

Unshelved is brought to you this week by Toon Books, a new imprint of The Little Lit Library. Those of you who read this blog regularly know that I got all googly fan boy in January when I got to meet Art Spiegelman. He was at ALA helping launch this new line of graphic novels for kids with his wife, New Yorker art director Francoise Moily.

My personal recommendation of their line so far is Otto's Orange Day, drawn by our friend Frank Cammuso. My son Theo (7) has been enjoying the heck out of it, and my daughter Rosie (4) likes to have Theo read it to her.

We learned to read from comics, and now our kids are doing so too. We're very happy to have Toon Books as this week's sponsor.
