Funny, they're more interesting than I remember.
This is the second of three sponsorships from Book Expo America. They're pulling out all the stops to let you know that their annual conference (May 29-June 1 this year in Los Angeles) is library friendly, with lots of dedicated programming for librarians and educators on top of the already fantastic resources of books, authors, publishers. And for the second year running, Unshelved is part of said programming. Not only will Gene and I be debuting our all-new customer service talk Surviving the Public on Saturday at 11am, but we'll have our own Library Lounge where we'll have various fun and useful activities throughout the show.
If you work on the West coast this is your best chance to go to BEA for a while (it moves back to the East coast for the next few years). Find out more at our Unshelved@BEA site. And if you're a librarian or educator who registers through the link at the bottom of that page, you qualify to win some fabulous prizes from BEA and Unshelved, including an appearance in Unshelved, coffee at BEA with Gene and myself, and a free author's breakfast.
