Last week I spoke to someone who remarked that they'd never seen their library so busy. Of course it's the recession. Free has never looked so good. I went to propose this plotline to Gene on Saturday only to see that he'd already written it. So we scrapped this week's planned sequence and are instead bringing you this topical series of strips. We hope it doesn't reflect what's happening at your library, but as always we fear that it does.
