Book Expo America 2009

This week we're off to the city of my birth, New York for Book Expo America, our favorite library conference. Stop by the Unshelved Library Reading Room at booth #338 (near the post office) where we've got a couple of comfy couches and a pile of advance reader copies provided by our sponsor publishers for you to take with you.

Gene and I will be signing our books and previewing the upcoming seventh volume of Unshelved, which you'll be able to order right there at our booth. Jana will be selling a selection of goods from our store at special conference prices, including our newest shirts Today is a good day... to READ, Intellectual Freedom Fighter, and read to me. We never seem to bring enough, so come by early. Oh, and we'll be handing out complementary Read Irresponsibly badge ribbons while supplies last.

Gene and I will also be roaming around BEA interviewing attendees and exhibitors on video for a super secret project. Well, a little less secret now, I guess.

We look forward to seeing you there!

P.S. Whether you're going or not, don't forget to enjoy our two downloadable BEA-sponsored e-comics, What Would Dewey Do @ BEA? and Publisher Confidential.

Pollen and the Ring of Harmony

Unshelved is sponsored this week by Francis T. Perry Williams who, in addition to having a longer name than you, is also author of Pollen and the Ring of Harmony:

Pollen is a visitor from the far reaches of space, and his mission is to save the Earth from human destruction with the power of his mysterious, living ring. Accompanied by a ragtag group of friends, he journeys across the United States to deliver a message to the president and the world. The Earth is about to be destroyed, and unless humans learn to live in harmony with nature, even the powerful ring won't be able to stop it. But as stories of the ring's amazing abilities spread, the ambitious vice president decides the ring belongs in his hands. And he'll stop at nothing to get it.

Pollen is now available (avoiding... hay-fever... jokes...) so please have a look.
