Unshelved comic strip for 11/30/2010

Teachers Welcome

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of spending several days at the National Council of Teachers of English annual conference in Orlando. The Unshelved booth quickly became a popular destination as attendees told one another about our funny t-shirts and signed up for our comic strip. So many of you were there that my assistant Jana just finished typing your names into our email list. Welcome!

Allow me to direct you to our about page where you can learn more about Unshelved and its characters, and also to our store where we have lots of fun merchandise I couldn't lug to Florida. You also might enjoy our book recommendations, and keep your eyes peeled soon for the winner of our final Pimp My Bookcart contest, coming soon! To adjust your email delivery click "update profile" at the bottom of your email - you can switch from daily to weekly or vice-versa, and you can add my other comic strip, Not Invented Here.

Alone and sporting a shoulder injury, I couldn't have managed the conference without the cheerful help of Katy Manck, a volunteer at the GiggleIT Project, a free international online student writing project. Please take a moment to find out more about this interesting approach to promote writing and international understanding using this Internet thing the kids are so excited about.
