Guest Strip by Emma T. Capps plus Book Reviews

Unshelved Book Club

Today’s guest Unshelved Book Club comic was drawn by cartoonist Emma T. Capps, creator of the The Chapel Chronicles, a webcomic about an eleven-year-old obsessed with board games, Lady Gaga, and her pet hedgehog. She’s published a print collection of season one of the comic and already has a line of related merchandise. Season two is currently underway. And if that wasn’t enough, Emma is also a published (and accomplished) writer and artist. Did I mention that she's fourteen years old?

Elsewhere in this week's Unshelved Book Club you'll find books about an interstellar ship filled with monsters, levitation, a girl who posts about her life in a blog (and lets its readers make her decisions), the sex lives of U.S. Presidents, a determined vampire hunter, two twenty-something Korean-Americans, a scrapbook, and a wicked stepmother out to prove she's not so bad.

A teeny tiny book recommendation every day

Superman is new to Metropolis. He doesn’t have his full powers, plus he’s seen as a menace by Lex Luthor and police.
