The Collector of Dying Breaths (and perfume giveaway)

The Collector of Dying Breaths

Longtime Unshelved readers are very familiar with this week's sponsor, M.J. Rose, bestselling author of The Reincarnationist, The Memorist, The Hypnotist, The Book of Lost Fragrances, and Seduction (reviewed last year in Unshelved). Her latest book is The Collector of Dying Breaths, "a lush and imaginative novel that crisscrosses time as a perfumer and a mythologist search for the fine line between potion and poison, poison and passion...and past and present."

Over the years Unshelved readers have helped make M.J.'s books a fixture of libraries, and as a special thank-you she is teaming up with us for a unique giveaway. Two lucky Unshelved readers will receive a bottle of custom perfume created by famed NYC perfumer designer Frederick Boucharday for the book's main character - Jac L'Etoile. It's called Ames Soeur, "the fragrance of soul mates". First check out the book and then email M.J. and ask nicely for a bottle of your own!
