Bumbershoot Wrap Up

I spent four days standing and talking and selling selling selling and, not surprisingly, I'm kinda tired. Bumbershoot was an interesting test for us. The first show we went to was ALA, which was filled with librarians needing to read humor about their lives. The second was Comic-Con, which was filled with people open to all sorts of comics. But this was just an arts festival, filled with people there for good music and overpriced festival food. Would anyone be interested in our little comic strip? It turns out that the answer is yes. I sold a healthy number of books, got lots of signups to our mailing list, and had lots of people tell me that it was funny. So I'm feeling like we're making something that does appeal to the general population, something I periodically worry about. Oh, and I met lots of fans, if you were one of them thanks for stopping by and saying Hi. It always makes my day.
