Connecticut and San Diego

It was a busy couple of weeks for me. Last week I spoke at the Connecticut Library Association in Wallingford, CT. I brought along my 5-year-old son Theo, which was fun but challenging. Fortunately I had help from local librarian Ruth, who went beyond the call of duty in entertaining and/or being entertained by my son during my talk.

Then on Wednesday Gene and I dashed down to San Diego for a day to speak to the directors of California's public libraries, which was fun and educational. Weirdest moment: being serenaded by two library directors singing "The Beaver Song". Don't ask.

Now I'm home for a solid month. I hope to get some sleep.
