Over in the non-web world of comics, Spider-Man/Peter Parker's marriage to Mary Jane was not just ended, not just annulled, but written out of existance, out of history. The contuinity was retroactively changed, what is known as a RetCon. It's a particularly large, particularly egregious, and particularly clumsy example of a RetCon, but they happen a lot in comics, and over at WebSnark Eric explains RetCons from A-Z in one of the finest pieces of comics journalism I've ever read.
I spent the last few hours of my birthday in a karaoke bar in Philadelphia. My choice? "Hopelessly Devoted to You," dedicated to all the librarians in the audience. My friend Dawn snapped this photo. Next stop: American Idol: Cartoonists Edition.
