Unshelved comic strip for 1/8/2008

Unshelved @ ALA

This weekend is the American Library Association midwinter meeting in Philadelphia, PA, and Unshelved will be there in booth 858. Well, Jana and I will be there. Gene is staying at home, nursing his limited vacation time. How I pity him and his constraining job! With regular paycheck! And paid vacation! And health insurance! Pity, I say!

Come to the booth early and pick up a limited-edition Frequently Asked Questions badge ribbon. While you're there peruse our stock of books, shirts, and bumper stickers. We'll doubtless have some sort of special conference pricing. I'll be signing and Jana will be selling. Also, tune in every day to CogNotes, the official ALA conference newsletter, and read the special Unshelved conference tip.

Finally, remember to stop by the booth on Sunday and wish me (and Dewey) a Happy Birthday!

Special ALA Guest!

I just received word that we're going to have a very special guest at ALA. Brad Guigar, Eisner-award nominated cartoonist of Evil, Inc., Courting Disaster (warning: adult situations), and Philadelphia's own Phables will be joining us at the Unshelved booth 858 for a special signing of his books from 1:30-3:30pm on Sunday. Come meet Brad, one of the nicest and most talented people in cartooning, and check out his excellent wares!
