Talking about speaking, or is it the other way around?

One of my favorite parts of this job is speaking. We've given our talk A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Library at over four dozen national, state, and regional conferences, staff days, book fairs, and even a corporation or two. I love drawing a comic strip, but nothing beats the laughter and applause of an auditorium full of our fans (and fans-to-be).

This year we workshopped our new talk Surviving The Public several times, and we're officially debuting it next week at the Timberland Library staff day. That means if you've hired us to speak in the past, you can now bring us back and hear something entirely new!

We are now in the process of sorting through the various invitations we've received for the spring of 2009, and even some for the fall. We can't take every invitation we get, so if you'd like to have us speak at your event, now is an excellent time to drop us a line.
