Bill on Webcomics

A quick reminder to those in the greater Seattle area - I'll be giving hour-long classes on making webcomics this week and next at libraries in the Sno-Isle system:

  • Monday March 3rd (today) - Lynnwood at 4pm
  • Monday March 10th - Edmonds at 4pm
  • Thursday March 13th - Oak Harbor at 7pm

It's nominally a teen program but it's open to all, so drop by and we'll talk turkey. Webcomics turkey.

W.T.Cox

This week’s Unshelved is sponsored by one of our oldest friends from the library conference circuit, W.T.Cox Subscriptions. We know from experience that they are outstandingly friendly and easy to work with, which jibes with their motto “Reliable. Personal. Service”. They say:

We're different because we can custom build solutions and tools for our customers instead of working in a "one size fits all" world. We like to find out how a library manages their subscriptions, then offer our expertise and join them where they are, hopefully improving their efficiency and giving them more budget dollars in the process. We offer print and electronic subscriptions along with an e-journal manager that helps their patrons access their e-collections. We're helping libraries go completely paperless in the ordering/invoicing/renewal cycle when they utilize our CoxNet system.

This week, W.T.Cox is giving away an Unshelved gift bag, which is a Contains Printed Matter messenger bag containing the complete Unshelved Library autographed by the us, the authors. Just drop by their site and fill out a contact form. They'll also be at PLA at booth 842.

This is their second sponsorship and we very much appreciate their support.
