My first week full-time on Unshelved we spoke in 4 venues (California Library Association, Ingram's booth at AASL in Charlotte, the University of NC, and the University of SC (Go Cocks!)). It was a great but exhausting week, with an extreme low point (my daughter being stung by a stingray at Huntington Beach (she's fine now)) and a fabulous highlight (being given the art below by Sarah Dutton, a fan who came out to see us with her parents in NC).

I missed the SoCo shots at Charlotte's Hooters, but did visit ImaginOn again, saw the ImaginOn sandwich menu at the supermarket next door, and then scored an ARC of the new Joe Sacco book at AASL. (If you're ever in that part of NC, try the lamb tibs at the Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant -- thanks to Michael Rockliff at Workman for discovering it and leading the way!)
Survived 6 flights, if you count connecting flights (I do) and now I'm back in the big wet that is Seattle, fighting moss, a cat on my lap, seeing how much I can type before my wrists give out.
