Today we’re excited to launch the first-ever Unshelved Kickstarter, a project many months in the making. Library Ranger Badges are fun library-themed patches to reward outstanding service, advertise your mad skills, or just start interesting conversations.

Gene and I have been hard at work designing the badges themselves, plus creating a hilarious video which introduces Library Rangers to the world. At the very least you should head over to the Kickstarter and watch all 51 seconds — we promise you’ll love it!

We’re giving ourselves just three weeks to fund this project, and we’ve created a series of stretch goals to give you increasingly large rewards for the same initial pledge, including free patches, badges, and a Library Rangers handbook. I’ve even convinced Gene to record a music video with me (he can’t sing). We also have some other fun Library Rangers gear for sale.
