Herbie's Game

Herbie's Game

Please excuse me while I gush.

In Junior Bender, Timothy Hallinan has created an original and enduring character, a well-read burglar who is occasionally enlisted (against his will) as a private eye by his fellow criminals. I am a huge fan of the Fletch novels (much better than the two movies, natch) and Bender is an I.M. Fletcher for our time. We featured his debut Crashed and then reviewed the next two episodes, Little Elvises and The Fame Thief.

Now there’s a fourth Junior Bender book out, Herbie’s Game, and its publisher, this week’s sponsor Soho Press, is giving away a limited number of signed galleys. Check it out - I’m sure you’ll love Junior as much as I do.
