Imaginon

On Wednesday Gene and I had the pleasure of touring ImaginOn, the children's and teen's branch of the Charlotte Public Library. It's quite something - a beautiful modern building that's fun to look at and be in, with incredibly purposeful and functional design. "The Loft" (teen area) has an amazing graphic novel collection, plus a production studio for making podcasts, animations, and videos. And in order to keep it a safe and attractive place for teens, adults basically aren't allowed - there's a separate waiting area for parents. Fortunately we're very immature, so they let us in. Here we are with our buddy Michelle Gorman (in black) and the rest of the unusually attractive Loft staff:
