Unshelved comic strip for 6/16/2008

The Local Author

This week's sequence about a local author was written in large part by our friend Rob Hurvitz. Rob was also responsible for the Donut Sequence and the Shower Sequence. It's been a while, but we're glad to have his comedic stylings back in Unshelved. Thanks, Rob! This time we'll credit you in the book, promise.

Random House, Inc. eBooks

Our sponsor this week is Random House, Inc. eBooks. Libraries can now make available over 6500 RHI titles in several eBook formats, saving trees, shelf space, and money. Find out more, and how you can win a Sony eBook Reader, by clicking here. And be sure to visit the good folks at RHI's library marketing department at ALA booth 2534!

More Talks

We've been busy scheduling more speaking engagements for this year and next:

We are in talks to do one or two more talks this fall, depending on timing, and the requests for next year have started filling up our mailbox. I'll let you know when they become done deals. Now that we have a second talk to give, speaking to groups we've spoken to before becomes a fun possibility. Email Me for more information!

I don't work in a cube...

But this is still my new favorite strip, in part because of the variation in medium. Via Danielle.
